As one looks at this space, the striking thought that prevails throughout is the element of curiosity. The architect shares the long list of requirements from the client’s side of creating 15 workstations, one conference room, cabins for four directors, pantry & lunch room in a 1600 sq.ft. office space. Though the requirements were big compared to the available space, still the architect has brilliantly used the floor-plate to keep the spaces alive and interactive visually. Angular abstracted partitions weave through organically within this small 1600 square feet office in Mumbai.
Angled in all three dimensions, open work areas are encapsulated within the free flowing partitions. They engage the space well and create a small community cluster for the staff, making maximum use of the spaces and interactive facility. Beyond this, a series of small individual cabins and a conference room are located.
A palette of grey textures forms the floor walls and furniture of the rest of the office. A graphic composition of drawings forms the backdrop wall of the conference room. Staying much within the theme yet adding a character to the space

The open work areas within stark white partitions, is punctuated well with a cluster of graphically composed storage modules. The bright aqua green internal finish to the partitions creates a strong composition that varies as one moves past it or within it.
Albeit being a small office, a series of experiences are created within, making it an interesting workplace. The palette of materials along with the fluid compositions allows the internal spaces to appear much larger whilst connecting them seamlessly.
The holistic approach and the craft thread of origami that is woven in all three dimensions create a wonderful design fabric. The name of the commercial premises depicts the design line and the recall value of the space creates a lingering memory for the end user.
