When a hint of warmth with sensible landscape, oozing of fresh greens, smelling of fresh air, with lots of natural light wrapping the Traditional ‘Gond Art’ on the walls leading upstairs echoes ‘welcome’; one feels he is in some place amidst of nature a true, paradise. The pent-house tells the tale; each time one visits here.

The story at the lower floor unfolds into a continuous wrap of partition that houses hidden doors, storages and display in a most unobvious way. A 36-foot long passage, resulting into a ‘L-shaped teakwood-batten wrap’ which camouflages extensive storage and access points. This has, in all, some 18 doors concealed in its facade – doors to the powder room, main entry and bedrooms and shutters to units that store everything from newspapers to luggage. It distinctively zones out public and private spaces and also weaves them together.

The leather finished black granite flooring balances the concrete ceiling; giving a controlled warm feel to the plush semi-private area. The ‘effectiveness of informality’ is achieved brilliantly by ensemble of artwork, assorted pieces of furniture which are placed to give a cozy effect in the living room. As per the client’s need, all the areas dedicated to core family and their rooms are at lower level. The upper level of the pent house opens up into a recreation room, guest rooms. along with it is a large terrace. The family looks forward to spending some meaningful time at this tastefully done terrace, which houses an inviting bar on one side and a comfortably large seating areas on the other. This adds life with a throw of bright colours; which go well with the thick green foliage. The penthouse on many occasions communicates through scattered landscape areas and foliage; giving a sense of home coming, closer to nature fading out the reality of being located in a metro. The architect has justified using the mixed palette of rough natural materials with smoother comforting upholstery along with the drapes to create a saga for the end user.

  • The terrace seating with combination of ‘Champa trees’ with pergola hanging chair combined with a dash of aqua makes the atmosphere perfect.
