It is the feeling of tranquil that stays the longest when one enters this house. The feeling remains strongly enough, for it to be stated as one of the elements of design creation. It was by gauging the view outside the window; mapping the needs of the client and calibrating the design ideas that made the designer weave a “cozy design duvet effect” for the home to be designed. The need of a clutter-free clean line home by the client, gave reason to the architect to leave aside the bulky element; and adapt to a design language with clean line approach. Creativity is reflected in the developed themes; which encompass certain elements in a flow, as seen in use of homogeneous timber effect throughout the house. The clean line approach is seen in monochrome combinations of drapes and also in tastefully used textures in all forms. The house though being moderately big for an upcoming metro is done with the skill of portraying the same with a much larger effect. The living and the terrace next to it practically merge into each other, creating a feel of homogeneous space which is almost non-separated. The thoughtful modifications of raising walls in case of son’s room and using the space to develop a partition with the royal blue in mind, not only makes a smart statement of best space use; but also of colour handled carefully and boldly to talk about the user.
The Architect with the vision to embrace nature through the large windows and with a purposeful intention to keep the focus only up to the window top; has tried to achieve the golden mean by creating a raven tonality at the ceiling levels.
The bedrooms have a character which defines the user in form of specific colors those are added to the vertical surfaces. Architect has achieved a subtle connect in the whole home by keeping the tonality of furniture similar and keeping the drapes monochrome. The house embraces tranquil and passes it on to anyone who is in this space. The design speaks volumes of its simplistic lines and warmth through its detailing and the spaces talk of grace which in totality is handled tastefully by the architect.
